Marion Elmes - 1965 to '69 gained a BA in Art and Design at Winchester College of Art and did a foundation course at Stourbridge College of Art.In 1998 to 1999 gained her teaching certificate in Further and Adult Education. In 1999 did an ‘Earth Materials’ module of Geology degree course at The University of Gloucestershire. In 2001 studied abstract art with Patrick Jones. Over the years Marion has worked as a painter of landscape and seascape and the underlying geological formations of the land hold a continual fascination for her. She has developed a style using mixed media to illustrate these geological structures. She lived in the Middle East for some years and has travelled extensively, but now lives in Devon.
